Man do I love me some quad headlights! This was a US market thing, I know usually to a lot of people "euro lights" are desirable, but in this case I want the quads man! I think even if I were to get a post-quad headlight XJS, I would find a way to retrofit them. Also I think I am rather partial to the V12, since it would be a weekend/fun car.
These examples are both low mileage, and I see the V12 has had some crucial repairs, the kind that prevent fiery death. But I'm going to keep looking because this is not a short-term goal, lol.
I've also read there is a $5k manual conversion available. I think for that kind of monies I may as well go for an engine+manual swap... I think a 302 + 5/6spd would be awesome in there! I think I'd try to stay away from the typical SBC swap. What would you swap into one of these?

I'm going to be looking hard at some 3.0 Jags after I finish paying off Bullmobile. Then I can have a new car with the same engine as my old.

One of my attainable dream cars is a 4.0L coupe from this era. But I wouldn't kick a red convertible with the same engine out of bed, either. The XJS is such a pretty car. And its story is a fascinating one.

Yeah, I'd very much like to have a convertible. Ideally BRG with cream interior.
